Edamame beans or soybeans are grown on small organic areas around East Funen. These beans grow on a small, bushy plant that requires a lot of special care. 

​

To be able to grow in Denmark, the bush must have optimal shade, sun and the right amount of water. Otherwise, it rots.

 

Therefore, the Danish climate is only suitable for growing edamame beans in the month of July - before there will be too much rain and after it will be too cool and windy.
