Haricot verts
Origin

Haricot verts originate from South America. These beans have been cultivated since ancient times, when the Aztecs ate them in style.
However, the name is not so Spanish-sounding - it comes from French country cuisine, where the soil and the mild winter climate were often used to grow beans. They filled both the food well, but also the stomach. That's why they were a sure winner back then, and they still are worldwide.

Today, they are grown all over the world and are one of the most eaten vegetables in the world - perhaps because of their mild taste and versatility.

Furthermore, it is a good natural source of both protein and fibre, and thus also helps us in the fight for the climate.
